Authorization & Responsibility
Shipping Account Authorization
I authorize Patio Products to ship this order using the carrier account provided above.
By selecting this option, I acknowledge and agree that:
All shipping charges, including base freight, fuel surcharges, accessorials, address corrections, dimensional adjustments, peak surcharges, and post-shipment billing adjustments are billed directly to my carrier account.
Patio Products is not responsible for carrier billing disputes, rate differences, or account restrictions.
Any shipment rejected or re-billed by the carrier due to invalid or restricted account information is my responsibility.
Standard Shipping Assumptions (Default)
Unless otherwise specified in the order notes at checkout, Patio Products will ship orders using the following defaults:
Shipping method: Lowest-cost reasonable option based on order size, weight, and destination (e.g., ground parcel vs. LTL freight, parcel vs. freight)
Service level: Economy / ground service
Insurance / declared value: No insurance; no declared value
Billing method: Third-party billing (using Patio Products’ designated carrier accounts)
These defaults are intentionally applied to streamline fulfillment and minimize shipping costs.
Shipment Review & Hold Policy
If Patio Products determines that:
The order cannot be shipped reasonably under the default assumptions, or
Required information is missing or conflicting,
Patio Products reserves the right to place the shipment on hold and contact the customer for clarification before proceeding.
Customer Responsibility
The customer acknowledges and agrees that:
Patio Products is authorized to select the shipping method consistent with the defaults above
Failure to note exceptions at checkout may result in shipment under standard assumptions
Additional costs arising from customer-requested changes after order placement may be billed separately
